CSS to Meet with Non GMO Project Board

CSS is happy to announce that the Non-GMO Project Board has accepted our request for interface with industry (link to that blog post). They have invited a discussion with our group at an upcoming board meeting. Specifically, they wish to investigate the possibility of a separate standard for dietary supplements.

We will be preparing specific notes in advance for them on several aspects of the current standard that are not feasible for the dietary supplement industry. This information will be taken directly from the report that was prepared this past September, disseminated to members, and discussed at the Expo East CSS member meeting. We are also requesting an extension of the current grace period surrounding compliance with version 12.

The meeting will be held in Bellingham, WA in mid-November. If any CSS members have any additional specific notes or feedback that they would like to convey please contact Bethany Davis.

In my knowledge ,A proven non-GMO system supports organic agriculture by decreasing contamination pressure and protecting the supply of non-GMO seed. Thank you for sharing unique news with us.
